Other Information

Coaches: The head coach for the camp will be Mike Fellows. Mike is a former national team member and has been the head coach at the Atlantic Junior Training Camp for the previous 2 years. Other coaches will be drawn from across Canada and from the Canadian National team. There may also be a few elite orienteers from Scandinavia who will be coaching.

Training Camp Size: The camp will be limited to 20 athletes. This should result in 2 or 3 athletes per coach.

Athletes From Other Countries: The majority of the slots in the training camp are reserved for Canadian athletes. However, five spots are open for athletes from other countries. The reason for this limit is because the training camp is partly funded by the Sass Peepre fund - a fund dedicated to developing juniors in Canada.

Cost: The fee for the camp will be $150. This will include meals and accomodations for the duration of the camp - from Sunday evening until Thursday afternoon.

Other Events: Athletes must also be registered for the National Team Fundraiser and the Canadian Short Distance Orieneteering Championship to participate in the camp.
