The athletes selected below to the A- and B- Pools are eligible for funding for one major two day A-meet in the spring and one in the fall, plus the Canadian Championships. In addition funding is available for participation in the national junior training camp to be held in Saskatoon in conjunction with the Canadian Orienteering Championships. A-pool members are entitled to a contribution of $100 for each event, and B-pool members $50. Participation at the training camp will entitle A- and B- pool members to an additional $100. The amount will be paid after proof of participation (results) by contacting Stig Skarborn.

Unfortunately, ONB is not in a position to arrange participation in out-of-province events. We hope that parents who are already taking their youngsters are willing to give another member the opportunity to participate in one of these major events, in which case ONB would be very grateful. Practice in the past in such cases has been that the funds that ONB gives juniors firstly be used for transportation and accommodation. The participants would then be responsible for registration fees, food, and the part of transportation and accommodation not covered by the ONB contribution.
