An "O" Teaser

Staff Writer with too much time on his hands

How about one without so much geometry or word play, just plain common sense? Okay. In a fictitious orienteering team score event, all members of a team are permitted to look for controls separately, that is to say, without being with another team member. The objective is to find all of the controls in the shortest possible time. A team of four orienteers can run a course having sixteen controls in just thirty-two minutes. Assuming the same efficiency of the runners and the same level of course difficulty, how long would it take a team of two orienteers to run a course having just eight controls?
