1996 New Brunswick Squads Selected

By: Stig Skarborn in his office

After a meeting with Brian McEwing, David Cameron and Stig Skarborn, and based on the results from the 1995 ranking meets, athletes have been selected to the provincial squads. The following squads will be used for the early part of the 1996 ONB season.

Those chosen for the Elite and "A" Squads are eligible for financial assistance for selected out-of-province meets, and those chosen for all three squads are eligible for financial assistance at approved training camps, should money be available, as decided by the ONB Executive or Board.

The only meet for which funding is approved, to date, is the Ottawa Interclub on May 11-12. This will serve as an excellent opportunity to familiarize yourself with terrain similar to that which will be used for the Canadian Championships which is in the Ottawa area as well, on August 10-11.

It does not look as if there will be an eastern training camp this year, but I hope there will be one in conjunction with the Canadians.
