Our annual kick-off event is an orienteering meet on the streets of Fredericton. Instead of forest navigation, orienteerers run on city streets or through small parks and try to locate various city landmarks such as buildings using a city map with all the street names blanked out, and from clues such as the date carved on the corner stone. This type of event especially appeals to road-runners.
